The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is Disney’s crown jewel with it’s elegant charm and inspiration that comes from the Victorian seaside resorts found along Florida’s coastline at the turn of the century. Modeled after Mount Washington Resort in New Hampshire and Hotel del Coronado in California, 
this Victorian-themed resort boasts an exterior that delights guests with white clapboard buildings, red-gabled rooflines, grand dormers, intricate lattice work and inviting verandas making it one of the most opulent of the resorts in the deluxe tier.
The focal point of the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is the breathtaking 5-story Grand Lobby illuminated by stained glass domes and boasting architectural details found in the Victorian era such as an open-cage elevator, Italian marble floors with inlays of some of your favorite Disney characters, shimmering chandeliers and a grand piano. During the daytime, a pianist tickles the ivories as guests meander through the lobby and a live orchestra plays ragtime, jazz and favorite Disney tunes every evening from the second floor balcony.
Disney’s flagship resort rests on 40 acres along the shores of the man-made Seven Seas Lagoon offering its guests beautiful pools, white sand beaches and a marina that features many activities for the whole family to enjoy such as watercraft rentals and fishing excursions. Bask on white sand beaches by day or take in the sights of Wishes fireworks as they explode over Cinderella’s Castle every evening. You can also take in the Electrical Water Pageant, a classic Disney favorite, performed each night along the Seven Seas Lagoon.
Grand Floridian Resort Rooms
The Grand Floridian is divided into 2 areas, the Resort and Spa area and the Villas which are part of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC). Each one of the buildings containing the 867 guest rooms are surrounded by lush landscaping and are luxurious and comfortable but definitely not too stuffy for families. Decorated in tones of peach, pink and greens to keep with the Victorian theme, the 19th century woodwork, light wood armoires, printed wall coverings and marble topped sinks with old fashioned fittings make the rooms a pleasure to stay in.
The resorts outer buildings are named for islands in the Florida Keys – Sago Cay, Conch Key, Boca Chica, Sugarloaf Key and Big Pine Key and offer standard and deluxe lodging including:

The Villas at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Opening in the Fall of 2013, the latest addition to the Disney Vacation Club provides it’s DVC members with an extravagant “home away from home”. The Villas rest on the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon and feature 200 rooms ranging from studios to one-, two-, and three bedroom villas complete with stainless-steel appliances, glass doors, and marble-floored bathrooms with televisions in the mirrors. The majority of the villas include vaulted ceilings and tiles verandas to enjoy.
The Wedding Pavilion
The Grand Floridian’s Fairy Tale Wedding Pavilion is located on its own private island along the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon. With soaring vaulted ceilings and leaded arched windows, one that frames the perfect view of Cinderella’s Castle, The Wedding Pavilion is the perfect place to create your own “Happily Ever After” with the fairy tale wedding of their dreams.
Dining
All of the Deluxe resorts tend to have a couple of restaurants, but the Grand Floridian has seven with distinctive dining selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner to please almost any palate. Fine/Signature dining, Character dining and casual dining options are abound in this elegant resort.
Gasparilla Grill & Games – Counter service restaurant and arcade that offers hot breakfast and a variety of sandwiches, burgers, soups and salads for families on the go.
Grand Floridian Cafe – Table service dining in an upscaled coffee shop atmosphere with high ceilings and decorative windows that look out over the rose gardens, pool and center courtyard. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and advanced dining reservations are recommended.
Narcoossee’s – Located in the octagonal building along the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon, Narcoossee’s presents an extensive wine list and exquisite cuisine from the land and sea. Only open for dinner. Reservations are recommended.
Citrico’s – With an on-stage kitchen, an extensive wine list and American cuisine with a Mediterranean twist, guests delight in dining in this upscaled signature restaurant. Dining reservations are recommended.
1900 Park Fare – Enjoy character dining at it’s finest. The “Supercalfragilistic Breakfast” features an all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast buffet with Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, The Mad Hatter and other Disney favorites. An enchanting time with Cinderella and Prince Charming as well as Lady Tremaine and the wicked stepsisters is one the evening entertainment menu. And, The Wonderland Tea Party offers a special tea party, stories and cupcakes designed specifically for kids ages 4 -12. Reservations are recommended.
Victoria & Albert’s – An AAA Five Diamond Award recipient every year since 2000, this highly acclaimed restaurant offers elegant, signature dining and is considered to be the centerpiece of Walt Disney World dining. With an avant-garde menu nightly and an award-winning wine cellar, Victoria & Albert’s is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. Children under 10 are not permitted and dress codes do apply. Reservations are highly recommended.
Garden View Tea Room – Steep yourself in a grand tradition of high tea featuring a variety of international teas while indulging in crumpets, cakes, scones and other delights served on Royal Doulton china. High tea is every afternoon from 2 pm – 5 pm.
Beach Pool Bar/Courtyard Pool Bar – These poolside bars offer light meals and snacks and an array of specialty cocktails, as well as beer and wine.
Amenities
Pools – This resort offers 2 pools and a whirlpool spa. The Beachside Pool overlooks Seven Seas Lagoon and features a 180-foot water slide, cascading rock waterfalls, an aquatic play area and cabana rentals. The more serene Courtyard Pool found directly outside of the main building offers a zero entry pool, an adjacent whirlpool and a water play area.
Grand Floridian Health Club – The health club features a cardio room, weight room and a sauna and steam room. Guests can also have a personal trainer by appointment.
Senses – A Disney Spa – Relax and rejuvenate with Signature Services featuring massages, facials, body wraps, hand and foot treatments and aromatherapies designed to invigorate your body and mind. Senses offers 15 treatment rooms and spa packages are available.
Gasparilla Arcade – Offers state-of-the-art video games for the kids’ enjoyment. The games require a Game Card and the cards are rechargeable and can be used at other Disney resorts.
Jogging Trail – Enjoy a scenic run or walk along the 1-mile path thats runs between the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian Resort.
Tennis Courts – The Grand Floridian offers 2 clay tennis courts as well as private and group lessons.
Marina – The Captain’s Shipyard is where families can partake in various aquatic activities. Pontoon boats, Sea Raycers, sailboats, pedal boats, kayaks rentals are available. Guests can also rent the “Grand 1”, the Grand Floridian’s 52-foot yacht.
Disney’s Pirate Adventure – Specifically for pirates ages 4 – 12, young swashbucklers set sail across Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon and hear the tales of “the Legend of Gasparilla” – a real Florida pirate.
Grand Floridian Campfire Activities – Gather ’round the campfire with your entire family for roasted marshmallows and stories around the cracklin’ campfire.
Movies Under the Stars – Cozy up under the stars for a nighttime movie outdoors on the beach near the at the Beach Pool.
Surrey Bike Rentals – Ride a bike the whole family can enjoy. Guests can rent a 2-person, or 4-person surrey bike and pedal around the resort paths
Golfing – Guests at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa receive preferred access to the Walt Disney World championship golf courses.
Childcare Services – The Mouseketeer Club offers dining, entertainment and fun for children ages 4 to 12, allowing parents a little adult time. Fairy Godmothers also provide in-room baby-sitting services.

Transportion
Monorail – The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is conveniently located on the monorail loop and provides express service to the Magic Kingdom, the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) The Contemporary and The Polynesian Resort. Guests can reach Epcot by taking the monorail to the TTC and transferring monorails.
Watercraft Transportation – Guests can take the watercraft transportation directly to the Magic Kingdom or the Polynesian Resort.
Bus Transportation – Buses run continuously from The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Downtown Disney as well as Typhoon Lagoon Water park and Blizzard Beach water park
