Beyond the main entrance to Epcot is Future World, which features one of the most recognizable structures of any theme park in the world and the park’s iconic landmark – Spaceship Earth.   Future World consists of several pavilions that explore innovative aspects and applications of technology and science.  Originally envisioned by Walt Disney himself as a working community and a prototype of tomorrow, it showcases the future and the possibilities of what cutting edge technology do.  

Future World boasts large futuristic structures flanked by broad pathways and surging fountains. Designed to educate, enlighten and entertain, Future World is host to various pavilions that offer hands on entertainment for guests of all ages and defines where mankind began and where it is going in the future. The various pavilions located in Future World include either attractions, dining or entertainment.

Spaceship Earth Attraction – Not only is Spaceship Earth Attraction the icon of the park, it is also home to an attraction based on communications and how they have advanced into our current day and beyond. Climb aboard a time machine and travel back to the dawn of recorded history in the iconic 18-story geosphere.

Innoventions Attraction – Be astounded by the latest in technological advances in a hands-on learning environment for kids of all ages in this two building, high-tech trade show. Experience technological advancements and their applications at Innoventions East.

Universe of Energy Pavilion – This pavilion is home to Ellen’s Energy Adventure Attraction, starring Ellen DeGeneres and Bill Nye the Science Guy in a slow moving dark ride. Your theater seat becomes your time machine as you travel through a re-creation of the dinosaur era. Learn about energy with as you encounter prehistoric creatures and discover how fossil fuels formed.

Mission: SPACE AttractionBlast off in this astronaut training simulation and be part of the first human mission to Mars aboard the fictional X-2 Deep Space Shuttle in 2036. Choose either the Orange Team which simulates intense training and centrifugal force or the Green Team, a less intense but still incredibly exciting ride.

Test Track Attraction Strap yourself into the car you designed and be part of the auto testing on one of the fastest rides in Disney history. Discover how your custom concept vehicle performs as you rev through rough terrain and surprise obstacles along the winding Test Track circuit. This high-speed thrill ride is one you will want to take over and over.

The Land Pavilion – A 2.5 million sq. ft facility dedicated to how humans benefit from our land, but also destroy it. Features a massive greenhouse that is the source for most of the fresh vegetables served in the restaurants. A large portion of the pavilion is dedicated to experimental horticulture techniques, irrigation methods and pest management.

The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion – Themed as an underwater exploration base devoted to oceanic study, get up close and personal with various fish in the 360º viewing area. Experience one of the largest saltwater tanks in the world or climb aboard a “clamobile” and venture into the sea with Marlin, Dory, and other characters from the Disney•Pixar film, Finding Nemo as they search for Nemo.

Imagination! PavilionMost commonly referred to as the Imagination Institute, the side by side glass pyramids are home to several imagination based attractions, including the classic Michael Jackson 3D film, Captain EO and fan favorite, Journey into Imagination Attraction with your host, Figment, the fun loving purple dragon.


Dining in Future World

While most of the dining options are found in the eleven international pavilions in the World Showcase, Future World also offers some wonderful dining including signature seafood and character dining experiences.

Coral Reef Restaurant – Located inside the The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion, this table service dining experience offers panoramic views of over 4,000 sea creatures and the coral reef aquarium right from your table.

Electric Umbrella – Counter service dining serving American fare like burgers and sandwiches with indoor and outdoor seating.

Fountain View – Your Starbucks connection in Epcot also offering fresh artisanal breakfast sandwiches and bakery goods.

Sunshine Seasons – Food court styled dining that using fresh ingredients from the greenhouses that are located inside The Land.

The Garden Grill – Family-style dining with character.  Join Mickey, Pluto and  Chip n’ Dale in this revolving restaurant located on the second floor of The Land Pavilion.

After Market Shop – Located on the exit of Test Track Attraction. Offers Test Track merchandise, pit crew caps, pins & Vinylmation, Food & Spirits, and apparel and accessories

Art of Disney – Located in Innoventions Pavilion.  The gallery offers exclusive Disney fine art selections, limited edition lithographs and animation movie cels and a wonderful selection of the coveted Disney Classic Collection.

Camera Center – Located to the right of Spaceship Earth Attraction. This shop offers memory cards, film, batteries and disposable cameras as well as photo albums and frames.

Club Cool – Located at Innvoentions Pavilion. Sample complimentary sodas from around the world and browse through Coca Cola apparel, accessories and other merchandise.

Gateway Gifts – Located to the left of Spaceship Earth Attraction. Offers a wide selections of Disney souvenirs like character tees, hats, and Mickey ears as well as housewares and sundries.

Green Thumb Emporium – Located in The Land Pavilion. Offers Soarin’ Attraction merchandise, pins, disposable cameras, Mickey Mini Gardens in glass tubes, and environmental kitchen and garden gifts

ImageWorks – Located in the Imagination! Pavilion. Offers Figment themed apparel, hats and merchandise as well as toys, games candy and themed housewares.

Mission Space Cargo Bay – Located at the exit of Mission:SPACE Attraction.  Shop for space-themed apparel and accessories, toys and plush and pins and Vinylmations to bring back to Earth with you.

MouseGearLocated in Innoventions Pavilion. Largest retail spaces in Epcot offering a wide selection of character apparel and accessories, housewares, garden decor pins, vinylmation, and food and spirits

Pin Central – Located centrally in Future World.  The premier location for all things pin-related.  Offers a huge selection of pins as well as trading between guests and cast members.

SeaBase Gift Shop – Located in The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion.  Offers Disney•Pixar’s Finding Nemo and ocean themed merchandise.  Dive in and help Nemo and his friends save our oceans with donations.

The Gift Shop – Located at the Main Entrance.  One stop shop for novelty headwear and other apparel.  Also the place for your merchandise purchased throughout the parks to be sent for pick up at the end of the day, leaving you bag free in the park.

Spaceship Earth Attraction

Spaceship Earth Attraction is not only the symbolic structure of Epcot, it is also the name of the attraction that is housed within the 18-story geodesic sphere.   Guests embark on a time machine-themed experience using the Omnimover system that look at the landmark moments in communication.  Narrated by Dame Judi Dench, lifelike Audio-Animatronics display an inspiring history lesson on how advancements in human communication have helped to …
