Pixar Place Area found its permanent home in Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2008 and guests were welcomed to the world of Pixar – a place where the toys come to work and play. Pass under the gates that mirror the actual signs found at the Pixar Studios campus found in Emeryville, California. Even the bricks used throughout were specifically chosen and cast to match those at the computer animation studios.
Step into a land where life-sized toys are abound. Look up to see monkeys escaping from their barrels, green army men climbing up ropes and standing on rooftops and the six-foot tall famed icon desk lamp Luxo, Jr., Pixar’s mascot, who dances to the beat of his own drum. Luxo, Jr. performs shows throughout the day or evening.
The sole attraction at Pixar Place Area is Toy Story Midway Mania Attraction, an interactive 4D ride inspired by carnival midway games and the fun-loving characters from the Disney•Pixar Toy Story films.

Toy Story Midway Mania – Step inside Andy’s room as wind through over-sized toys like CandyLand, crayons and a Scrabble board. Meet Mr. Potato Head dressed in his 1920s Barker outfit as he takes you on a zany carnival ride tram through the Toy Story Midway Games Play Set with your 3D glasses and spring-action shooter. Play 5 unique carnival games with the lovable cast from Toy Story – Ham & Eggs, Rex & Trixie’s Dino Darts, Green Army Men Shoot Camp, Buzz Lightyear’s Flying tossers and Woody’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Shootin’ Gallery.
