The Animation Courtyard Area is home to several attractions based on Disney’s animated characters from the past and the present. Marked with a squared studio arch similar to a real Hollywood studio lot entrance, this area of the park was originally the starting point for the tours of the park’s active production studios.
The courtyard is also host to two live shows to entertain guests of all ages. The Voyage of the Little Mermaid Attraction features lasers, music, projectors and water effects to bring The Little Mermaid to life. Across the plaza is Disney Junior – Live on Stage which features kid favorites Handy Mandy, Little Einsteins, Sofia the First and friends from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
Mickey Avenue is home to a walk-through exhibit Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream, which explores the life and legacy of Walt Disney through photos, models, rare artifacts, and a short biographical film narrated by actress Julie Andrews.
If you find yourself in this area of the park and are hungry, you will have to venture over to Hollywood Boulevard Area or Commissary Lane Area since there are no restaurants here due to it’s small size.

Disney Junior – Live on Stage! – Meeska – Mooska – Mickey Mouse! Mickey’s Clubhouse opens up for an adventure filled with special effect, music and your favorite Disney Junior characters. Sing, dance and play with Disney Junior pals from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Doc McStuffin’s, Sofia the First and Jake and the Never Land pirates.

Voyage of the Little Mermaid Attraction – Go under the sea and follow Ariel’s adventures as she yearns to stroll and dance with humans in this 17 -minute live-show featuring live performers and innovative puppets. Join Ariel, Sebastian, Ursula as you plunged under the sea through the use of lasers, smoke, showering water and bubbles.

Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream – A self-guided tour through the life and legend of the man behind the mouse. Created to commemorate Walt Disney’s 100th birthday, see never-before-seen props, models, sketches and more that led to his incredible achievements and his ongoing legacy. After your gallery tour, watch a heartfelt film about the world’s favorite visionary as Julie Andrews hosts and Walt recounts his life story in historic film footage and home movies. This is one of the most special treats in all of the parks.
