The Oasis Area

Not only is The Oasis Area the park’s main entrance, but it is also home to an abundance of wild life with featured animal habitats amongst leaf and paw print embossed paths. Enjoy the lush flora and animal habitats, including African Spoonbills, Australian White Ibis, Bronze-winged Ducks, Eleonora Cockatoos, Giant Anteaters, Hyacinth Macaws, Lesser Whistling Ducks, Military Macaws, Puna Teals, Rhinoceros Iguanas, Ringed Teals, Rosy-billed Pochards, Scarlet Macaws, Spot-billed Ducks, Swamp Wallabies, White-cheeked Pintails, and Yellow-billed Teals.

All of the main paths in the Oasis lead deeper in the park and into a greater adventure as you head onto Discovery Island.

The Rainforest Cafe is also located at the entrance of the Oasis, with another entrance located inside the park. Guests may dine at the restaurant without entering Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, or can enter from within the park but must have admission tickets to return to the park.

Attractions in The Oasis Area

The Oasis Exhibits – Start your day off with a self-guided stroll through lush jungle foliage and shady trails as you enter a tropical oasis with fascinating creatures like a giant anteater, exotic bear, spoonbills and barking deer. Observation areas are provided as well as information about the animals from posted signage.  Beautiful waterfalls and streams complete the aesthetics of wandering through the mild jungle.
