images’Tis the season for holiday festivities and magical Christmas celebrations at the Walt Disney World Resort. Every year, all four of the parks offer holiday delights to thrill and entertain guests of all ages but the fan favorite is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

This family-friendly, nighttime event is filled with exclusive entertainment featuring a special parade, a holiday fireworks extravaganza, dance parties and the addition of Anna and Elsa from Frozen on the Forecourt Stage for an incredible transformation of Cinderella’s Castle.

Candlelight Processional 2014

A holiday tradition will grace the stage of the American Gardens Theatre once again this year.  Join celebrity narrators as they tell the biblical tale of the savior born in Bethlehem while accompanied by a mass choir and a 50-piece live orchestra in an inspirational performance. The Candlelight Processional 2014  at Epcot is steeped in holiday tradition and is a special event you won’t want to miss if you are visiting the Walt Disney World Resort for the Christmas season.

The Candlelight Processional takes place from November 28th through December 30th.  Three performances are held each evening at the American Gardens Theatre located in front of the American Adventure Pavilion.  Performances are at 5:00 pm, 6:45 pm and 8:15 pm.

This year, the celebrity line up lending their voices to this holiday tradition is sure to please. Several new celebrity narrators will join the list of returning guests and include:

Sneak Peek of Trattoria al Forno’s Menu

For me, it was a sad day when Cat Cora’s Kozzina at Disney’s Boardwalk closed – it was one of my top choices to dine for the past several years. I was fortunate enough to enjoy one last fantastic meal with my husband for our anniversary the night before the curtain closed on this fabulous dining venue.

tra2SMALLA few months ago, Disney announced that Kozzina’s replacement would be an Italian restaurant that was sure to please with tastings from all of Italy’s diverse regions. Now, we have a sneak peek at Trattoria al Forno’s menu and are anticipating it to be a big hit amongst foodies.  Just take a look at this mouth-watering Meatball Cannelloni Basil – you hungry yet?  I sure am!

Disney Christmas By the Numbers

It’s the most wonderful time of the year at the most magical place on earth, Disney World.  Cast Members and designers are already hard at work planning for this year’s decorations throughout the vacation kingdom. If you have not ever been during the holiday season, it is something you must experience at least once.  The parks are decorated beyond your wildest imagination, the resorts are dressed in their holiday best and the Christmas spirit is in the air.

The decorations start going up the after first week of November, anticipated to begin on November 7th this year, and remain until after the first week of January. Disney Christmas by the numbers is astounding around the resort and here is a little sampling of what you will experience if you visit during the holiday season:
