It’s rather obvious that I am a complete Disney fanatic. I’ve been going since the day the Magic Kingdom opened in 1971 and have over 300 visits under my mouse ears. My daughter is also a Disney nut and is my favorite person to do the parks with. She has grown up in the parks, just like I did, and she enjoys every moment we spend there. We never get bored with doing the same thing over and over and always add something new to each time we go.
But what about that one person in your family that isn’t a Disney fanatic? I imagine there are several of you that this applies to. For me, it is my husband – sigh! He likes Walt Disney World, but he does not LOVE it the way my daughter and I do and does not always accompany us when we journey from NC to Florida anywhere from 4-6 times a year to get our Mickey fix.
To him, the Walt Disney World Resort is a collection of crowded, expensive theme parks with little to do other than tour the attractions. GASP!!! What??? Needless to say, I had to prove him wrong, being the Disney freak that I am. I rattled off a list of things for him and that fact that you could spend an entire week at Walt Disney World without even stepping into a park and be completely entertained. You know who won that conversation, right??
He’s getting better about it, I promise. It took a few visits just he and I to show him how cool this place really is. Also, I find him wearing things with Mickey on them. I don’t say anything about it, I just know my evil little plan is working! He will be a “Mouse” guy in no time!
