Here is some exciting news for Vera Bradley fans! Tomorrow, October 9, at the Walt Disney World Resort there will be a special release party at Cherry Tree Lane at the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs Marketplace.

The Vera Bradley Event at Marketplace Co-Op will release two new colors at the event as part of the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley – “Mickey Meets Birdie” and “Preppy Poly.” In addition, guests will also have an opportunity to meet Vera Bradley Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Barbara Bradley Baekgaard from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

According to the Vera Bradley team, the inspiration behind the “Mickey Meets Birdie” collection came from Vera Bradley Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Barbara Bradley Baekgaard’s grandchildren.
“Barbara Bradley Baekgaard’s chic home has always been filled with beautiful bright colors, patterns and design pieces – many of which contain scenic landscapes and birds. When Barbara’s first grandson, Christopher, visited her home as a child he would point out all the birds in each room and repeat, ‘Birdie, birdie, birdie.’ One day, after several visits and ‘bird watches,’ Christopher was asked which grandparent he was visiting and he enthusiastically replied, ‘Grandma Birdie!’ The name was quickly adopted by all of Barbara’s 14 grandchildren and family. Barbara loves Disney, so [Mickey Meets Birdie] is the perfect representation of a match made in heaven!”

The “Mickey Meets Birdie” collection will have 10 styles to choose from including a Hipster Bag, a Zip ID Case, a Vera Bag and so much more.

The Vera Bradley Event at Marketplace Co-Op will also offer the new “Preppy Poly” line with four styles each and offered in two different colors – Violet and Tango Red.

In addition to Cherry Tree Lane in the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs, guests will be able to find these new items at select merchandise locations at Disneyland Resort starting tomorrow, October 9.
In the coming weeks, look for select items from the new Vera Bradley collection on the Disney Parks online store, or the new Shop Disney Parks mobile app.
