Choosing Resorts

One of the first areas to consider when traveling with smaller children is which resort will bring that magic of Disney to life. Disney goes above and beyond with their theming, and each Disney resort offers accommodations to fit a broad range of desires and budgets. Disney Value and Moderate resorts meet the needs of families on a budget. They are known for offering interactive themed accommodations, a fantastic array of entertainment offerings, large pools, and extensive dining options.

Looking for something a little more upscale? Then check out the Disney Deluxe Resorts, especially those resorts that happen to be on the monorail system. These resorts are perfect for families who desire the best location! Grab a quick ride on the monorail in the morning to the parks or enjoying the fireworks overhead at night from the comfort of your resort room. No matter what Disney resort you choose, Disney adds special touches that will give your family a vacation to remember!

The Parks

Stepping inside the park, Disney strives to create an experience that will allow each guest to see and do as much as they can while on vacation. When traveling with toddlers, it is so easy to navigate the parks because Disney has made it so easy! Rent a stroller when coming into the parks each day to help those littler ones who may not be up to walking the park all day.

Have you thought about what attractions your family is most interested in? Schedule your Fastpasses ahead of time and utilize rides that are geared towards the smaller members of your party. If there are rides that have a set height requirement and your children are too small, you can utilize the Rider Switch option which allows you to obtain a special ticket for those adults who will be waiting with your younger child. This ticket will allow those adults to ride later by utilizing the Fastpass ticket line. This is a great option so that each member of your party can experience each ride and attraction!

Cooling Off

Needing to escape the heat? Check out various splash pads located inside the Disney parks as well as Disney Springs. This is a great way for kids to burn off some energy and cool off too! Make sure to plan ahead in bringing towels or an extra change of clothes.

Baby Care Centers

Another hidden gem available in each park is the Baby Care Centers. Each center comes equipped with changing stations, private nursing rooms, high chairs for feeding and a place for those littles ones to cool off from the hot Florida sun. Did you happen to forget something at home? No problem! Each Baby Care Center is equipped with essentials that you may need while you are visiting the parks. Check your park map for exact locations.

Dining Choices

Now you may be thinking, what about dining for my little one while I am on vacation? The best part about dining at the Walt Disney World Resort is there is something for everyone! Not only does each park have dining choices that appeal to your pickiest eater, but they also offer a more extensive list of restaurants that you normally wouldn’t find anywhere else. One of the biggest pluses about traveling with little ones is the character dining experiences!

Do you have a Mickey fan or a little princess who loves Cinderella? Well, you are in luck! There are plenty of dining options available that will give your little one an up close and personal meeting with a character while enjoying a delicious meal. There are character dining experiences in each park as well as some of the Disney Resort hotels. If this is something that you think would appeal to your family and your smaller guests, make sure to schedule your dining reservations up to 180 days before your vacation.

The most important thing to remember when traveling with small children is to take your time, enjoy each moment and have fun! While you may not be able to see and do everything that the Walt Disney Resort has to offer in one vacation, the memories you make will keep you coming back for a lifetime!
