Located in the East end of Future World is the Universe of Energy Pavilion that features the attraction, Ellen’s Energy Adventure.  Learn about energy with your hosts, Ellen Degeneres and Bill Nye the Science Guy as they take you on a journey through Ellen’s subconscious and a primeval forest where dinosaurs roam.  This 45 minute attraction is based around energy – how it’s produced, the history of producing energy and the quest for finding new energy sources.

Start off with an eight minute film where Ellen falls asleep and dreams that she is in an energy-themed version of Jeopardy!  Ellen is a contestant on the game show and is up against her old school rival Judy Peterson and Albert Einstein. Of course, Ellen does not have a clue about energy.

Then enter into a theater where you are seated in one of six seating areas that will turn to face doors and another 6 minute film is shown where Bill Nye takes Ellen back billions of years in time to witness the Big Bang and then into a prehistoric jungle where he explains the formation of fossil fuels. As Bill Nye takes Ellen on a prehistoric journey, you get to enjoy life-like animatronic dinosaurs including an Edaphosaurus and a family of Brachiosaurus in a swamp. Marvel in the sights of a Stegosaurus fighting a Megalosaurus on an overhead cliff, several Trachodon bathing beneath a waterfall, Ornithomimus drinking from a pond, and even Ellen fighting off an Elasmosaurus with a tree branch.

Follow up your dinosaur encounter with another film where Bill and Ellen take an in-depth look on how current and future resources are found, particularly petroleum, coal and natural gas as well as solar and hydroelectric power. And finally, finish your journey with a Final Jeopardy! showdown where Ellen shines through with all of her knowledge of energy and fossil fuels.
