Sunset Boulevard Area was the first expansion of Disney’s Hollywood Studios since it’s opening on July 22, 1994. It’s lively “Streetmosphere” is flanked with restaurants, quick service snack and dining venues and specialty shops that feature gifts themed to classic films and Disney characters.  Looming in the distance is the 199-foot-tall Hollywood Tower Hotel, which houses the Tower of Terror, a popular thrill ride based on the classic television series, The Twilight Zone.  Also located nearby is the ever-popular Rock ‘n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, an indoor coaster featuring a high-speed launch, three inversions and the blaring music of American rock greats, Aerosmith.

Sunset Boulevard Area is also home to two outdoor amphitheaters that host two popular live, entertaining stage shows.  The Theater of the Stars hosts the Beauty and the Beast Live, the condensed version of the Broadway musical based on the animated film Beauty and the Beast.  The open-air Hollywood Hills Ampitheater is home to Fantasmic!, the nighttime spectacular featuring Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters filled with lasers, water effects and pyrotechnics.
