Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

It’s that time of year again! In just a matter of weeks, Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party will kick off its annual event and Magic Kingdom Park will transform into a happy, haunted spooktacular.

This specially-themed Halloween party is a ticketed event, and you will need a separate ticket to enter. Purchasing your tickets in advance is highly recommended as tickets are limited.  The party starts at 7:00, however, guests with tickets are allowed to enter the Magic Kingdom starting at 4:00. With that said, it is always a great idea to grab any fast passes that you may find available for that time if you plan to enter the parks early.

One of the great things about these parties is that the lines are so much shorter on event nights.  Last year when we arrived at 4:00, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had a 3-hour wait! We waited until the party had started and those without tickets had to exit the park and waited only about 5-10 minutes in line for the same ride that night, MORE THAN ONCE!

This party is my favorite Disney party and guests of all ages are encouraged to dress up. My favorite is seeing groups dressed with a theme. Everyone gets to Trick or Treat their way through the Magic Kingdom, and you will receive a map with all candy stations noted. You can get a candy bag at your first stop, or you can bring your own if you choose. Be ready to satisfy your sweet tooth as you will get more candy than you can imagine. Not to mention, there are special holiday-themed treats available in the park. Merchandise locations will also be selling specially themed items that you can only get on party nights.

Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade

Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade is one parade you will lose your head over! The Grandmaster is the Headless Horseman, who kicks off the festivities with an eerie ride down Main Street USA, followed spooky floats that feature Disney Characters in their Halloween costumes. Ghostly ghouls Ezra, Phineas and Gus, the famous Hitchhiking Ghosts from the Haunted Mansion Attraction, star in this delightfully frightful parade!

Happy HalloWishes
Join the Ghost Host from the Haunted Mansion and the dastardly Disney Villains as they light up the night with fireworks and remixes of their theme songs. Cruella de Vil, Jafar, Oogie Boogie and many more croon their frightful tunes. As a palette of Halloween colors cover Cinderella Castle, fireworks erupt in the sky.

Special meet and greets can be found throughout the parks.  The characters are dressed in their Halloween attire so be sure to get your photos taken with them.

Be sure to pay attention to the different scents all around the park. All the magnificent smells of fall coming back around – pumpkin spice, leaves and cinnamon scents everywhere. It is one of my favorite things this time of year. If you are debating on attending the party, I HIGHLY suggest it; you will have a great time! You don’t want to miss Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It is appropriate for all ages! Will I see you there this year?

So don your favorite costume and get ready to have a spooky time! Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is held on select nights in August, September, October and even November. Ticket cost depends on the night of the week, but range anywhere from $74.00 – $99.00 for adults and $69.00 – $94.00 for children ages 3-9. Annual Passholders can get discounted tickets as well.
